We're pleased to announce a fun league for groups, called Internal Group League. It's a league which involves the group members, not other groups.

Our aim is a league which is informal and a bit of fun. You know what it's like, most informal sport events in the evenings see a few people turning up for an enjoyable game, no set teams and people only turning up when possible. So the league has been designed with this in mind. You don't need to turn up each week and you may be on a different team each week.

How it works:

The group administrator will first agree a points system with the group members. This can be viewed by going to the Group League Table e.g.

The points system is configurable, example below:-

• 2 Point(s) awarded when playing for winning team.
• 1 Bonus point(s) awarded when captain of a winning team.
• 0 Point(s) deducted when playing for a losing team.
• 1 Penalty point(s) deducted when captain of a losing team.
• 1 Point(s) awarded for draw.
• 5 Games = 1 point.

Most are obvious, basically 5 Games = 1 point means that if you play 5 games, you will receive 1 point.

Once the points system is agreed, then events can be set as Internal Group Team A v Team B events. This enables the Team Selection tab on the event page.

The group administrator can then select Captains, who by going to this page can select the team by taking turns or the administrator can select the players. Important for players to appear they must have the signup for the event and be confirmed. Once the match has been played the group administrators can record the result, at which point it will be registered in the league table.
